My School Life
Life in school takes up a huge portion of time in our daily lives. In other words, school is like a second home to students like us. Whether studying hard in class or just having fun on the basketball court, school life is full of unexpected twists, and that is what makes it so interesting. The following is a true story of my own school life.
Stepping into the big hall, I knew that my three years of senior high school life had just begun. A mixture of excitement and tension bubbled in my heart as I headed toward my new class. Hesitating for a moment, I paused to take a deep breath before setting foot inside the classroom. Several pair of eyes turned to look at me. Nervously, I hurried in the direction of my desk. Taking a seat, I took a look around. My classmates all seemed to be friendly, two boys seated beside me in particular. I tried chatting with them, and to my surprise, we got along perfectly well. From then on, we chatted, played basketball, or just about anything else, we three were always in it together. To put it differently, we have become best friends from then on.
Time flies. Soon a month crept away silently, and schoolwork was starting to play an important role in our life. Times when we could be as carefree as we wanted were disappearing into life packed with a seemingly infinite amount of tests. The exam was drawing nearer and nearer, and it was then that I started to realize the pressure of senior high school life. I strived to endeavor my best. However, the first exam was still a disaster. I was frustrated. Venting my anger, I tore the test papers in fury. Feeling helpless, I turned to my teacher for help. It was then that I learned that we should make it a habit to plan a daily schedule. That way, we could have a clear idea of how much time we can use to have fun. The second exam was much more successful, thanks to my teacher’s advice. I was extremely happy. Because of this, I figured that school was a perfect place to learn, not just in terms of acquiring knowledge, but forming good habits as well.
I’d like to interpret this theme in two aspects. For one thing, school is a place where we can improve ourselves. We broaden our horizons through books, take hold of the keys to having a better relationship, and most of all, learn how to strike a balance between when to work and when to play. For another thing, school life would be colorless without some clubs, contests, or playing ball. So enjoying ourselves is an equally important part of school life as well. To be brief, school life is virtually composed of whatever we do each day. So with it to give color to our daily lives, a typical year might just turn into one full of unforgettable and valuable moments.
